Retrieval of case files from the FRC via the Bankruptcy Court:

Alternatively, you may request the Bankruptcy Court to retrieve a case from the FRC. Please note that the Bankruptcy Court will require a retrieval fee (which must be paid before the record is requested from the FRC). It should also be noted that in the event there is more than one bankruptcy case bearing the same debtor name, it is the responsibility of the requestor to determine which case should be retrieved.

Once the file is retrieved, it may be reviewed at the divisional office that retrieved it. Additional fees of 50 cents per page will be charged for copying documents, and $11.00 for the certification of each document.

Retrieved cases will remain at the Clerks office for a period of 10 working days after receipt from the FRC and then be returned to the FRC. Any further retrieval of such a case will require an additional retrieval fee.
