NextGen CM/ECF

NextGen: Central Sign-On

On July 6, 2021, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio will be upgrading its Case Management/Electronic Case Filing System (CM/ECF) to the Next Generation of CM/ECF (NextGen). This upgrade will provide users with several benefits including Central Sign-On, which allows filers to use one PACER login and password to access any NextGen court (district, appellate, and bankruptcy) in which they have permission to file.

To prepare for this transition, you must complete the following tasks prior to July 6, 2021. Your PACER Account will be your login (entry point) for both PACER and CM/ECF; therefore, you MUST have your own Individual PACER Account.

Follow steps 1 through 3 below prior to July 6, 2021.

STEP ACTION
1
Do you have your own PACER account?

If you do not already have one, obtain your own individual PACER account. If you already have your own PACER account, then go to Step 2

NOTE: Shared PACER accounts cannot be used by filing attorneys once the court has upgraded.
2
Have you upgraded your PACER account?

If you already have your own individual PACER account and it was created prior to August 11, 2014, you must upgrade your account before you can electronically file in a NextGen court.
