Account Maintenance
Managing Contact Information
You can access your account information through the Maintain Your ECF Account utility in CM/ECF. This utility will display your name, e-mail address, address, and phone number on file with the Court. To update these items, click Edit My Name and Address Information.
Clicking this link will route you to the Manage My Account settings in PACER. There, you can select the type of information you'd like to update and the Courts those updates should be applied to. (Be sure to select Ohio Southern Bankruptcy Court.)
When you submit your account updates, the changes will be sent to the Court for processing within 24 hours.
Payment of Fees
Access to CM/ECF may be restricted for non-payment of fees associated with any filing. When you first log in to CM/ECF, you will be notified of any pending fees and be given the opportunity to pay fees at that time. Otherwise, you may access fees by clicking Internet Payments Due in the Utilities menu of CM/ECF. You may select the fees you wish to pay and will be routed to Pay.gov to remit payment. If you feel like you have been locked out of your CM/ECF account in error, please contact the Court.
Managing Electronic Notifications
CM/ECF will send you notices in the following cases:
- Any case in which you have filed a notice of appearance or other document. (Note that if another attorney files a notice of appearance on your behalf, notices will not automatically be sent by CM/ECF.)
- Any other case you have marked for notices in your Maintain User Account profile. To add a case to this list, select the Email Information button and then select the checkbox marked "Send notices in these additional cases." You will be asked to input the case numbers of those cases in which you wish to receive notices.
Among other options, CM/ECF will also allow you to receive notifications immediately, or in a single daily e-mail (the Daily Summary Report). This may also be selected in the Email Information screen.
It is important to ensure your e-mail address is up to date to ensure receipt of all notices issued by CM/ECF. Notices sent by CM/ECF will be issued electronically to the address on file with the Court.
