Attorney Admission

Regular Admission

Pursuant to Local Bankruptcy Rule 2090-1, "[a]dmission to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio shall constitute admission to practice in the bankruptcy court for this district." Pro Hac Admission

Any attorney not admitted to practice in the Southern District of Ohio District Court must, at or before the attorney’s initial filing or appearance before the Court in every case or adversary proceeding, take the following steps.

  1. Request access to CM/ECF as a pro hac filer.
  2. Electronically file a motion for pro hac vice status in the relevant case or proceeding. Local Rule 2090-1(b) outlines the requirements for such motions, and a form motion and order is available.
  3. Within 14 days of the date the Bankruptcy Court grants the motion, pay the required fee to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. This fee must be paid via credit card online at Pay.gov

The Bankruptcy Court cannot accept payment for this fee under any circumstances. Failure to pay the fee may result in a revocation of the admission order or other action as determined by the Bankruptcy Court.
