How to File Claims

A proof of claim is a written statement and verifying documentation filed by a creditor that describes the reason the debtor owes the creditor moneyThere are three ways a proof of claim may be filed with the Court.

File Using ePOC

You may file a proof of claim in any case electronically without access to CM/ECF by utilizing the Court’s ePOC program. Enter the relevant information and the program will generate the B410 proof of claim form. Attachments should consist of supporting documentation to the proof of claim. The filing of the claim electronically deems the claim signed by the creditor or authorized person.

When a claim is submitted through ePOC, the claim will immediately appear on the claims register and the Court’s claim number will display with a link to the electronically file-stamped proof of claim. The claim will be file stamped as of the entry date. It is recommended that the claim is printed or saved at this time. You do not need to file a separate paper claim with the Trustee’s office.
