COURTHOUSE SAFETY MEASURES RELATED TO CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

To protect the public during the coronavirus outbreak, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio is following the guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Ohio Department of Health, and local health officials. The Court asks that the public observe these guidelines also.

Two courthouse notices were recently posted, designed to provide a safe environment for everyone in the building.  They apply to all who enter the courthouse, including attorneys. These notices will remain posted, subject to revision if necessary, until further notice.

The following notice is posted at the entrance to each courthouse:

PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE COURTHOUSE IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY:

If you have been diagnosed with, or have had contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with, COVID-19;

Or you have been asked to self-quarantine by any hospital or health agency;

Or if you are exhibiting cold or flu symptoms;

Or if you have traveled to any of the following countries within the last 14 days:

ITALY
IRAN
SOUTH KOREA
CHINA

Or if you reside with, or have had close contact with, someone who has traveled to one of the above areas within the last 14 days;

If you are represented by an attorney, please contact your attorney.  Otherwise, please contact the Clerk’s Office at one of the phone numbers listed here.  This notice also applies to debtors and creditors attending Section 341 Meetings of Creditors.

A separate notice is posted at each intake counter.  This notice asks filers to hand filings or payments to the intake clerk and be seated in the public seating area while the transaction is processed.

Thank you for observing these safety precautions.
